Hypertension and African-American

Additionally, cultural influences and dietary habits can contribute to higher rates of obesity and unhealthy eating, which are risk factors for hypertension.

It is essential for everyone, especially African Americans, to be aware of the risk factors for hypertension and take steps to manage their blood pressure. Regular blood pressure monitoring, maintaining a healthy weight, following a balanced diet low in sodium, engaging in regular physical activity, managing stress levels, and seeking healthcare when necessary are important for preventing and managing hypertension.
